Prime Minister Receives New Iranian Ambassador to Mali
Bamako, February 23, 2026 - Prime Minister Major General Abdoulaye Maïga received H.E. Mahmoud Khani Jooyabad, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Mali, on Monday, February 23, 2026.
The courtesy visit focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Mali and Iran.
Ambassador Jooyabad highlighted that the two nations share common geopolitical challenges, including the fight against aggression and imperialism, signaling opportunities for closer strategic collaboration.
