President Guelleh Receives Credentials from Eight Newly Appointed Ambassadors

Djibouti City, June 21, 2026 - Djibouti's President Ismaïl Omar Guelleh received the letters of credence of eight newly appointed ambassadors during a ceremony at the Presidential Palace, reaffirming the country's commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations and international cooperation.

The newly accredited ambassadors represent Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Equatorial Guinea, Namibia, Thailand, the Dominican Republic, and Eswatini. Most of the diplomats are non-resident ambassadors based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, while the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic is resident in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The diplomats accredited to Djibouti are:

Sem Fabrizi, Ambassador of Italy.

Karl Magnus Lennartsson, Ambassador of Sweden.

Sune Krogstrup, Ambassador of Denmark.

Miguel Ntutumu Evuna Andeme, Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea.

Mbapeua Muvangua, Ambassador of Namibia.
