President Félix Tshisekedi Appoints New Directors to RVA, ARE, SOKIMO, and Gécamines
Kinshasa, February 23, 2026 - President Félix Tshisekedi appointed several directors to lead key public enterprises through a series of presidential decrees read on national television (RTNC).
Kinkey Mulumba at RVA
Blaise Londole and Vincent Futa were appointed Director General and Deputy Director General, respectively, of the Civil Aviation Authority (RVA). Tryphon Kinkey Mulumba was reappointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Londole succeeds Ngoma Mbaki, suspended by the Minister of State Enterprises following a malfunction at N’djili International Airport.
Jean-Marie Beya at ARE
At the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ARE), Jean-Marie Beya was named Chairman of the Board of Directors, while Soraya Aziz becomes Managing Director, assisted by Marco Nkuyu as Deputy Managing Director.
Deogratias Ngele Masudi at Gécamines
In the mining sector, Baraka Kabemba was appointed Managing Director of Gécamines, and Deogratias Ngele Masudi becomes Chairman of the Board of Directors of the state-owned mining company.
François Kakese at SOKIMO
A new Management Committee was also appointed to lead the Kilomoto Mining Company (SOKIMO SA). François Kakese Kimaza, formerly Quality and Performance Manager in the Office of the Head of State, becomes Chairman of the Board of Directors, while Yanick Nzonde Mulundu is named Managing Director, succeeding Pistis Bonongo, and Placide Nkala Basadilwa becomes Deputy General Manager (DGA).
These appointments signal a renewed leadership across critical transport, energy, and mining sectors in the DRC.
