Peacebuilding in Burkina Faso: Training of Community Leaders in Guiriko
Ouagadougou, December 2, 2025 - The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, responsible for relations with institutions, has launched a series of seminars in Bobo-Dioulasso aimed at strengthening patriotic commitment amid ongoing security and humanitarian challenges. These sessions are designed to train local stakeholders in active citizenship, enabling them to contribute effectively to peacebuilding within their communities.
The launch ceremony brought together approximately thirty participants representing diverse structures and social groups in Guiriko, including:

The role of citizens in ensuring national stability and development
The initiative aims to create a network of leaders capable of mobilizing their communities around the values of peace and social cohesion.
This program forms part of the national peacebuilding strategy, designed to strengthen population resilience in the face of security and humanitarian challenges. The Ministry intends to support local actors, enabling them to become effective agents of stability and justice in their regions.
