Over 1,100 Taxpayers Adopt Standardized Invoicing

Kinshasa - The Ministry of Finance announced on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, that more than 1,100 taxpayers are now using standardized invoicing through the e-UF electronic invoicing system, provided free of charge by the government.

In a press release, Minister Doudou Fwamba reaffirmed his support for economic operators following the implementation of the invoicing requirement. He specified that the e-UF system can be used temporarily or permanently, including by large companies with their own invoicing systems.

The Minister also emphasized that providing a tax identification number remains mandatory for sales to legal entities, but is optional for individuals. The DGI (General Directorate of Taxes) is increasing webinars, technical sessions, and targeted assistance to support the transition, while the Minister reiterated that the measure will not be postponed, encouraging businesses to continue their compliance efforts.

This reform, driven by the vision of President Félix Tshisekedi, represents a major step toward modernizing tax administration and improving the traceability of commercial transactions in the DRC.
