Outgoing Rwanda Envoy To Poland Credited With Deepening Bilateral Ties
Warsaw, August 13, 2026 - Rwanda's outgoing Ambassador to Poland, Prof. Shyaka Anastase, was credited by Poland's Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Michal Baranowski, with helping strengthen diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.
Shyaka became Rwanda's first resident representative in Poland in 2021 and has been involved in efforts to deepen bilateral engagement. He also drew recognition for his fluency in Polish and his academic background in the country.
He is completing his assignment after several years in Warsaw. On June 10, 2026, Col. (Rtd) Jeannot Ruhunga, former Secretary General of the Rwanda Investigation Bureau, was appointed Rwanda's next Ambassador to Poland, succeeding Shyaka.
