NSSF And Nzeyi Move To Settle Temangalo Land Dispute

By Jean-Marc Okito2 min read

Wakiso, August 25, 2026 - The National Social Security Fund and businessman Amos Nzeyi moved toward settling an 18-year dispute over land at Temangalo in Wakiso District, a development relevant to pension fund asset management and property market certainty.

The parties have agreed on a settlement under which NSSF would receive 10 acres of alternative land while Nzeyi retains his home.

The dispute dates back to a 2008 transaction in which NSSF bought 463.87 acres of land in Temangalo from Nzeyi and ARMA Ltd for Shs11 billion.

Resolution of the matter would help close a long-running controversy over a major institutional land purchase and could reduce legal uncertainty around one of Uganda's most prominent pension fund property cases.
