NRM Opens Race For Adjumani West Parliamentary Seat
Adjumani, August 18, 2026 - Six aspirants were nominated as the National Resistance Movement opened its internal contest for the Adjumani West parliamentary seat, setting up an early test of party organization ahead of the constituency vote.
The nominees on the first day were Ben Anyama, Nixon Owole, James Pilli Leku, Justine Mawadri, Richard Madrara Obuni and Daniel Izale.
The contest will determine the ruling party's flag-bearer in Adjumani West, a politically sensitive process in a district where party mobilization and local alliances can shape turnout and parliamentary representation.
