Niger Launches Major Recruitment Drive for National GuardNiamey, Niger - The High Command of the National Guard of Niger
Niamey, November 6, 2025 - The recruitment drive will enlist 819 new personnel, including 742 Trainee National Guards and 77 Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers. Written examinations are scheduled for December 10, 2025, in regional centers for trainees, and December 11, 2025, in Niamey for officers.
Officials emphasized that the expansion reflects the government’s strategic priority to strengthen the security apparatus, enhance internal order, and provide professional pathways for youth, while supporting broader national security operations.
