Mongala: Vice-Governor Cédric Ayaka Kuma Dismissed by Provincial Assembly
Mongala, November 17, 2025 - The Mongala Provincial Assembly voted to remove Vice-Governor Cédric Ayaka Kuma from office. The motion, approved by 19 assembly members, cited allegations of fraud, breach of trust, and forgery, and was supported by a court ruling declaring the position vacant and ordering partial elections.
Mr. Kuma, who is currently in Kinshasa for professional reasons, expressed surprise at the decision and has not yet officially responded to the accusations or the removal process.
