Ministers Meet to Strengthen Industry and Trade Cooperation
Bamako, February 19, 2026 - Mali’s Minister of Industry and Trade met Thursday with Egyptian Ambassador Mohamed El Gammal to discuss ways to accelerate economic partnership between the two countries, officials reported. The meeting, held in Bamako and attended by the Director General of API Mali, focused on follow-up to commitments made during the Mali-Egypt Economic Forum organized last year by the Chambers of Commerce of both nations. Key Areas of Cooperation Officials reviewed priority sectors for bilateral collaboration, highlighting: Industry development Trade expansion Agribusiness Local processing initiatives The discussions underscored the commitment of Mali and Egypt to strengthen economic ties, promote investment, and support mutually beneficial development projects across strategic sectors.
