Minister Mossa Ag Attaher Meets German Ambassador on Migration and Cooperation
Bamako, February 19, 2026 - Mali’s Minister for Malians Abroad and African Integration, Mossa Ag Attaher, received German Ambassador Dr. Corinna Fricke Thursday to discuss bilateral cooperation and migration issues, according to official sources.
The meeting, held in Bamako, highlighted the long-standing ties between Mali and Germany, which have been maintained since Mali’s independence in 1960. Both officials reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors.
Focus on Migration and Development Cooperation
Ambassador Dr. Fricke expressed satisfaction with ongoing initiatives, noting the success of the recent ESA Summit held in Mali and other concrete programs supporting development and migration management.
Minister Mossa Ag Attaher welcomed the Ambassador, congratulating her on her appointment and wishing her success in her mission, while emphasizing Mali’s continued commitment to deepening partnerships with international allies.
The discussion reflected both countries’ shared interest in promoting development, migration governance, and sustainable cooperation.
