Minister Mamou Daffé Reviews Mali’s “Year of Culture”
Bamako, January 30, 2026 - The Minister of Handicrafts, Culture, Hospitality, and Tourism, Mr. Mamou Daffé, held a press conference to present a review of the Year of Culture in Mali, proclaimed by His Excellency General Assimi Goïta, President of the Transition and Head of State. In his address, Minister Daffé thanked the President for his historic decision and vision to make culture the cornerstone of building a new Mali. He also extended gratitude to the Prime Minister, Head of Government, and all members of the government for their support of initiatives undertaken during this special year. He further commended the commitment and participation of all stakeholders in the culture, handicrafts, and tourism sectors, whose efforts contributed to the success of this memorable Year of Culture.
