Maniema: joint mission inspects rehabilitated roads in the province
Kinshasa, October 5, 2025 - Since 3 October, a joint mission comprising provincial authorities, the Assembly, religious groups and civil society has been inspecting road rehabilitation works in the territories of Pangi and Kailo (Maniema). This initiative aims to assess the quality of the work carried out on more than 350 km of roads, financed by the conventional tax and executed by the Provincial Road Maintenance Office (OPERMA).
The rehabilitated roads include Nyoka-Pangi, Pangi-Lubile, Lubile-Kalima and Kikungwa-Misoke-Lubilazya, as well as Benamboto-Kailo and Lonyoma-Pont Ulindi. Observers point out that this approach is helping to open up the province and demonstrates its ability to manage its infrastructure without relying exclusively on the central government.
