Malian Generals Charged with Undermining State Security
Bamako, November 13, 2025 - Mariam Sagara and Abbass Dembélé, two Malian generals arrested in August for “attempted destabilization”, were formally charged by a military court with “undermining state security”.
At the court appearance, Abbass Dembélé appeared noticeably thin, while Mariam Sagara looked exhausted, highlighting the strain of the ongoing proceedings.
