Malian Communications Minister Meets CEOs of Orange Mali and Huawei
Bamako, January 22, 2026 - Mali’s Minister of Communication, Digital Economy, and Administrative Modernization, Alhamdou Ag Ilyène, met on Thursday with the newly appointed CEOs of Orange Mali, Leyti N’Diaye, and Huawei, Jean Sun Wei.
The courtesy visit aimed to strengthen dialogue between the government and key stakeholders in the telecommunications and digital technology sector.
During the meeting, the minister welcomed the executives, congratulated them on their appointments, and reaffirmed the strong partnership between his ministry, Orange, and Huawei. He highlighted their strategic role in developing digital infrastructure, expanding connectivity, and supporting Mali’s digital transformation policies.
