Mali’s Higher Education Minister Meets Orange Mali CEO to Discuss Digital Initiatives
Bamako, March 12, 2026 - Professor Bouréma Kansaye, Mali’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, met with Mr. Leyti N’Diaye, the newly appointed CEO of Orange Mali, for an introductory visit on Thursday.
During the meeting, Kansaye congratulated N’Diaye on his appointment and discussed potential areas of collaboration between the government and the telecommunications company.
Key topics included enhancing university connectivity, advancing the digitalization of higher education, developing digital libraries, and supporting the Digital University project, which seeks to modernize higher education and broaden access for students across Mali.
Officials described the discussions as a step toward strengthening partnerships between the public sector and private technology providers to advance Mali’s digital transformation in education.
