Mali Promotes Green Entrepreneurship and Skills Development Through Government-Youth

Bamako, April 3, 2026 - Mali is reinforcing its commitment to youth empowerment and sustainable economic development through closer collaboration with civic organizations, following a meeting between government officials and young entrepreneurs in Bamako. The Minister of National Entrepreneurship, Employment, and Vocational Training, Oumou Sall Seck, received Kindia Cissé, Local President of the Junior Chamber International Bamako Ciwara, along with her delegation. During the audience, the JCI representative sought ministerial sponsorship for the organization’s 2026 activities and requested strategic guidance to support the successful implementation of its initiatives. Discussions highlighted the alignment between the organization’s programs and the government’s priorities, particularly in the areas of green entrepreneurship and vocational training. Among the key initiatives presented were the “J’Entreprends” project, focused on promoting environmentally sustainable business ventures, and the “Kalanso” program, aimed at strengthening access to training and skills development. Officials emphasized the importance of such partnerships in fostering innovation, supporting youth-led initiatives, and advancing inclusive economic growth in Mali.
