Mali Launches 2026 “Sungalo Solidarity” Free Medical Consultations
Bamako, March 9, 2026 - The Ministry of Health and Social Development officially launched the 2026 edition of Operation “Sungalo Solidarity” on Monday in Lafiabougou, Bamako, providing free medical consultations and health support to the public. The initiative includes permanent consultation spaces for specific medical conditions, donations of medication, and a communal breaking of the fast, coinciding with the final days of Ramadan. Colonel-Major Assa Badiallo Touré, Minister of Health and Social Development, presided over the launch, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving access to healthcare and supporting communities during the holy month. The program aims to offer essential health services to residents while fostering solidarity and social cohesion across the capital.
