Launch of 3rd Phase of Compensation for Ring Road Project
Kinshasa, December 11, 2025 - In Kinshasa. Over 100 beneficiaries were expected at the meeting room of the General Secretariat for Infrastructure and Public Works in the Lingwala district.
Under the leadership of Secretary General for Infrastructure Georges Koshi, the inter-ministerial commission in charge of expropriations reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and fairness in payment of compensation.
This initiative is part of the over 70 km road project, financed by the Sino-Congolese program and executed by Chinese companies CREC 4 and CREC 8, under the coordination of the Congolese Agency for Major Works (ACGT). During the second phase, nearly 200 cases were processed out of 3,442 registered, and the commission is now working to optimize the payment process to ensure prompt compensation to beneficiaries.
