Kinshasa: Ministry of Economy Trains Supermarket Managers on Price Regulation
Kinshasa, DRC - The Ministry of National Economy launched a training and awareness session on Monday, November 3, 2025, for supermarket finance managers in the capital. The initiative, led by Secretary General Célestin Twite, aims to reinforce compliance with national regulations on price setting.
This session follows recent audits that uncovered multiple pricing violations, which were sanctioned in accordance with the law. Authorities say the program seeks to promote transparency, ensure fair competition, and protect consumers’ purchasing power. The Ministry also pledged to maintain regular monitoring of pricing practices across the retail sector to guarantee market stability.
