Kinshasa, DRC / Luanda, Angola - The Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola are set to further strengthen their economic ties with the announcement of the 3rd DRC-Angola Economic Forum, planned for February 2026 in Muanda, Kongo-Central province.

The decision follows an official mission to Luanda by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Daniel Mukoko Samba from October 27 to 29, 2025. Accompanied by the High Representative of the Head of State, Tony Kanku, Mukoko Samba held meetings with key Angolan officials, including the Ministers of Planning, Industry and Trade, Fisheries and Marine Resources, and the Minister of State for Economic Coordination.

The discussions centered on boosting bilateral trade, removing obstacles to commerce, and deepening cooperation in sectors such as fishing, energy, and regional integration. Reviving partnerships with Angola’s national oil company, SONANGOL, was also a key topic.

Officials highlighted that the forum will serve as a platform to foster sustainable economic collaboration, enhance investment opportunities, and solidify the long-term economic partnership between the two neighboring countries.
