Kinshasa: 105 Residents Compensated Under Ring Road Project
Kinshasa, November 24, 2025 - The Interministerial Commission overseeing expropriations for the Ring Road project paid compensation on Tuesday, November 26 to 105 people affected by the planned route. Out of 3,442 registered cases, 200 have been processed.
The operation, conducted at the General Secretariat for Infrastructure in Lingwala, represents significant progress in freeing up land for the continuation of this strategic 72-kilometer project, executed by the Chinese companies CREC 4 and CREC 8 under the coordination of Agence Congolaise des Grands Travaux (ACGT).
Beneficiaries expressed satisfaction with the process, while the Commission urged other affected residents to remain patient, assuring them of rigorous and transparent handling of each case.
