INFP/BTP Board Holds 14th Ordinary Session, Reviews 2025 Performance and 2026 Budget

Bamako, December 29, 2025 - The 14th ordinary session of the Board of Directors of the National Institute for Vocational Training in Building, Transport, and Public Works (INFP/BTP) was held on Monday, December 29, 2025, in Bamako, with a strong focus on institutional performance and strategic planning for 2026.

The opening of the session was chaired by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the INFP/BTP. Senior officials, board members, and technical staff of the institute took part in the meeting.

Several key issues were on the agenda, including:

Assessment of the implementation of recommendations adopted during the previous Board session;

Presentation, review, and adoption of the 2025 activity report, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned in vocational training for the building, transport, and public works sectors;

Examination of the draft budget for the 2026 financial year, aimed at strengthening training capacity, improving infrastructure, and aligning programs with national development priorities.

During the discussions, emphasis was placed on the performance of the institute, the relevance of its training programs to labor market needs, and the role of vocational education in supporting national infrastructure development and employment creation.

Board members also underlined the importance of efficient resource management, enhanced governance, and the continued modernization of training tools and curricula in order to better prepare skilled professionals for the construction, transport, and public works sectors.

The session concluded with commitments to reinforce the implementation of adopted recommendations and to ensure that the 2026 budget effectively supports the INFP/BTP’s mission of developing a qualified workforce aligned with Mali’s economic and infrastructure ambitions.
