FSSP Expands Social Development Mandate Through Regional Engagement
Niamey, December 3, 2025 - The Chairperson of the FSSP Management Committee, Ms. Brah Réki Djermakoye, accompanied by the Governor, Lieutenant Colonel Maina Boukar, conducted a comprehensive field visit to social development projects in Tillaberi. The delegation inspected the rehabilitation of the “Neighborhood School” and held detailed discussions with the Regional Directorate for the Promotion of Women and Child Protection on ongoing gender equality programs.
These visits highlight the FSSP’s expansion beyond its traditional security financing role toward broader social development objectives, emphasizing access to education in conflict-affected areas and initiatives to economically empower women. Ms. Djermakoye announced additional allocations from the FSSP for school feeding programs and income-generating activities for vulnerable women in the region.
