DRC-Ukraine: Tshisekedi invited to Kyiv by Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky invited his Congolese counterpart Félix Tshisekedi to visit Kiev during a telephone conversation on Friday, 3 October 2025. The invitation aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas such as defence, agricultural technologies, energy decentralisation and the digitisation of public services.
Zelensky expressed his gratitude to Tshisekedi for the solidarity shown by the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) towards Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression. He also stressed the importance of peace, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, and proposed a mutually beneficial partnership between the two nations.
