DRC: Telecom operators commit to adjusting their rates to the real exchange rate
Meeting on Thursday, October 9, 2025 - in Kinshasa with the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, José Mpanda, the main operators in the sector - Vodacom, Airtel and Orange - Promised to align their tariffs with the current market exchange rate, which fluctuates between 24,000 and 25,000 Congolese francs to 10 US dollars. The chairman of the Telecom Commission of the Federation of Enterprises of Congo (FEC), Laurent Ntumba, welcomed the drop in the rate and announced a weekly review of prices so that this change is quickly reflected in the costs borne by consumers.
