DRC: President Félix Tshisekedi Appoints Bienvenu Ilambo as Special Advisor for Communication
Kinshasa, November 19, 2025 - President Félix Tshisekedi appointed Bienvenu Ilambo as Special Advisor for Communication through a presidential decree read on national television.
In his new role, Ilambo is tasked with coordinating all communications for the Head of State and the Presidency. The President’s spokesperson, his deputy, and all communication services will report directly to him.
Holding the rank of Minister, Ilambo will lead a team composed of five assistants, seven research officers, a special advisor, a private secretary, two bodyguards, an administrative secretary, two data entry operators, and two mailroom employees.
This appointment reflects the President’s focus on strengthening communication strategies and ensuring a cohesive messaging structure across the Presidency.
