DRC: Digitisation of import-export operations comes into effect on 5 October
From 5 October 2025, all applications and renewals for import-export numbers in the Democratic Republic of Congo will have to go exclusively through the Single Window for Foreign Trade (GUICE), the Ministry of Foreign Trade has announced. This reform, which is part of the modernisation of public services, will enable economic operators to carry out all procedures related to import, export and transit online, without having to travel.
The aim is to reduce delays and costs, enhance transparency and traceability, and bring the DRC into line with World Trade Organisation standards. This digitalisation marks a key step in improving the competitiveness of Congolese foreign trade.
