Doha: President Tshisekedi Meets Emir of Qatar to Discuss DRC Peace Process
Kinshasa, November 1, 2025 - Doha, Qatar - On November 4, 2025, on the sidelines of the second World Summit for Social Development, Congolese President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to review progress in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s peace process, particularly in the conflict-affected eastern regions.
The meeting also focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Kinshasa and Doha ahead of the Emir’s planned visit to the DRC. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to promoting peace, social development, and mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
