Doha: President Tshisekedi Highlights Congolese Resilience and Calls for Equitable International Cooperation
Kinshasa, November 1, 2025 - Doha, Qatar - On the sidelines of the second World Summit on Social Development in Doha, Congolese President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to review peace processes in the Democratic Republic of Congo and strengthen bilateral ties.
At the summit, President Tshisekedi lauded the resilience of the Congolese people after three decades of armed conflict and outlined reforms aimed at promoting social justice, including universal health coverage, free primary education, and a development program covering all 145 territories of the country.
He also called for international cooperation grounded in equity and reciprocity, advocating for a new global framework where social justice and lasting peace are recognized as fundamental rights for all peoples.
