Djibouti President Guelleh launches re-election campaign with rally in Dikhil
Dikhil, March 28, 2026 - President Ismail Omar Guelleh has officially launched his campaign for a sixth term in office, kicking off with a major rally in the city of Dikhil.
Running as the candidate of the Union for the Presidential Majority (UMP), Guelleh addressed thousands of supporters who gathered at a local stadium for the event.
During the rally, the head of state emphasized his commitment to maintaining stability in the country while advancing economic reforms aimed at strengthening Djibouti’s development.
