Djibouti and Italy Renew Commitment to Deepen Bilateral Cooperation

Djibouti, June 8, 2026 - The Republic of Djibouti and the Italian Republic have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations during a high-level meeting held in Djibouti between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Government Spokesperson, Abdoulkader Houssein Omar, and the Italian Ambassador to Djibouti, Sem Fabrizi.

The discussions took place as part of regular diplomatic consultations between the two countries, reflecting what both sides described as a steadily growing partnership built on friendship and cooperation.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review the current state of Djibouti-Italy relations and explore avenues for expanding cooperation across multiple sectors of mutual interest.
