CP Theos Badege appointed Deputy Commissioner General of Rwanda Correctional Service
Kigali, April 2, 2026 - The Cabinet has appointed CP Theos Badege as the Deputy Commissioner General of the Rwanda Correctional Service (RCS), following a meeting held at Village Urugwiro and chaired by President Paul Kagame.
Badege, a senior police officer with extensive experience in law enforcement and international policing cooperation, previously served as spokesperson of the Rwanda National Police and worked with Interpol.
His career in the Rwanda National Police has included senior leadership roles, including Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), as well as multiple appointments as police spokesperson.
The latest appointment is part of a broader set of government decisions aimed at strengthening leadership within national security and correctional institutions.
