Clashes Resume Between FARDC and CRP in Bule, Djugu Territory
Ituri Province, February 4, 2026 - Violent fighting erupted between the FARDC and the Convention for the Popular Revolution (CRP) militia led by Thomas Lubanga in Bule, Djugu territory, after a brief lull.
The clashes, which began around 8:00 a.m., lasted nearly six hours, triggering panic, forcing civilians to flee again, and paralyzing socio-economic activities.
The renewed violence comes just days after a joint FARDC-MONUSCO mission aimed at reassuring residents. No official casualty figures have yet been released.
