Burkinabè Diaspora in Greece Supports Presidential Initiative “Faso Mêbo”
Athens, December 14, 2025 - The Association of Burkinabè Nationals in Greece (ARBG) has donated €2,135 (approximately 1,400,465 CFA francs) to the Faso Mêbo presidential initiative. The funds were raised through a crowdfunding campaign among association members and friends of Burkina Faso.
The contribution was handed to Her Excellency Cyrille Ganou Badolo, Ambassador of Burkina Faso to Greece, who was present to present her credentials. The Ambassador expressed deep gratitude, highlighting the diaspora’s commitment to Burkina Faso’s development and the strengthening of ties between its members and their homeland.
During the meeting, the Ambassador also raised awareness about national expectations and values that every Burkinabè should embody abroad. The embassy team informed citizens about solidarity and unity, vital for cohesion within the community, and assisted in gathering concerns and facilitating administrative and consular procedures.
This is not the first contribution of the ARBG to national development: in 2024, the association donated €1,535 (1,006,895 CFA francs) to the Patriotic Support Fund, reinforcing its role as a dedicated partner in building a resilient and united Burkina Faso.
