Burkina Faso’s New Ambassador to Gabon Presents Credentials to President Oligui Nguema
Libreville, December 19, 2025 - His Excellency Issa Boro, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Burkina Faso to the Gabonese Republic, officially presented his credentials to President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema at the Palais de la Rénovation in Libreville on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Boro conveyed the fraternal greetings of Burkina Faso’s President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, to the Gabonese Head of State. President Oligui Nguema praised the strong diplomatic relations and cooperation between the two countries and reaffirmed his support for Burkina Faso in the fight against terrorism, commending the courage and resilience of the Burkinabè people.
The discussions highlighted prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in political, economic, cultural, multilateral, and vocational training sectors. President Oligui Nguema emphasized the need for Burkinabè expertise in agriculture and livestock to boost local production and invited the Burkinabe private sector to invest in Gabon. He also pledged to increase the number of Gabonese students receiving vocational training in Burkina Faso’s higher education institutions.
Ambassador Boro expressed gratitude for the Gabonese President’s support and reaffirmed his commitment to revitalizing strategic cooperation and promoting public-private partnerships for the endogenous development of both countries.
