Burkina Faso: Ministry of Public Service Launches Major Promotion Campaign for Civil Servants and Retirees
Ouagadougou, December 15, 2025 - The Ministry of Public Service, Labor, and Social Protection, through its Directorate General of the Public Service, launched a major promotion campaign on Monday for civil servants eligible for retirement.
The initiative, in line with Article 90 of Law No. 081-2015/CNT of November 24, 2015, will benefit approximately 3,000 civil servants eligible for retirement between 2020 and 2025.
Process pending promotion applications for active civil servants.
Regularize administrative situations related to promotions.
Handle retirement applications for employees eligible in the first half of 2026.
Process integration and reclassification applications for trainees recently graduated from vocational training schools.
This operation reflects the government’s commitment to accelerating and simplifying career management for civil servants.
It builds on the recent decentralization of career management procedures to regional directors, a reform launched on December 10, 2025, which produced its first results on December 15 in all regions, demonstrating tangible progress in public service administration.
