Burkina Faso Ambassador Presents Credentials to Philippine President

Manila, December 8, 2025 - Burkina Faso’s newly appointed Ambassador to the Republic of the Philippines, H.E. Ms. Bibata NEBIE/OUEDRAOGO, has officially assumed her duties after presenting her credentials to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in Manila.

The formal ceremony took place on November 25 at the Malacañan Presidential Palace, marking the beginning of her mandate as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Burkina Faso to the Philippines. Ambassador NEBIE/OUEDRAOGO is based in Tokyo, Japan, where she holds concurrent accreditation.

A day earlier, on Monday, November 24, 2025, the Burkinabe diplomat had presented her credentials to Mr. Ariel Rodelas Peñaranda, Deputy Secretary and Chief of Protocol at the Philippine Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to official sources, the two credential ceremonies provided an opportunity for exchanges between the Ambassador and Philippine authorities on ways to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation between Burkina Faso and the Republic of the Philippines.

The discussions focused on prospects for enhanced bilateral relations, reflecting the shared commitment of both countries to deepen diplomatic engagement and explore new avenues of cooperation.
