Burkina Faso Ambassador Presents Credentials to Greek President
Athens, December 9, 2025 - H.E. Ms. Cyrile GANOU/BADOLO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Burkina Faso to the Hellenic Republic, has officially presented her credentials to President Konstantinos Tassoulas of Greece, marking the formal start of her diplomatic mission.
The credential ceremony was held on November 18, 2025, at the Presidential Palace in Athens. During the event, Ambassador GANOU/BADOLO conveyed fraternal greetings from President Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso, as well as from the Burkinabè people, to the Greek head of state and the people of Greece.
In her remarks, the Ambassador highlighted the Burkinabe government’s ongoing efforts to restore national territorial integrity. She also presented Burkina Faso’s economic and cultural potential, underscoring investment and business opportunities available in the country. Ambassador GANOU/BADOLO reaffirmed the authorities’ commitment to diversifying international partnerships, strengthening national sovereignty, and promoting balanced and respectful cooperation aimed at sustainable development.
President Tassoulas welcomed the Ambassador and expressed Greece’s willingness to deepen bilateral relations with Burkina Faso. He identified energy, water resources, infrastructure, and agriculture as priority sectors for enhanced cooperation between the two countries.
It was also noted that on the previous day, Ambassador GANOU/BADOLO had presented copies of her credentials to the Chief of State Protocol at the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in accordance with diplomatic protocol.
