Burkina Faso: 110 Officials Honored for Merit at Ministry of Public Service Ceremony
Ouagadougou, December 16, 2025 - The Minister of Public Service, Labor, and Social Protection, Mathias Traoré, presided over an awards ceremony recognizing 110 officials and partners of his ministry on Tuesday at the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM) in Ouagadougou.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of National Education, Literacy, and Promotion of National Languages, Jacques Sosthène Dingara, and Minister of Health, Dr. Robert Lucien Jean-Claude Kargougou.
Minister Traoré highlighted the importance of these awards, saying: “Your actions, sometimes visible, sometimes discreet, all contribute to the collective effort of building our shared future, stone by stone, gesture by gesture.” He noted that the recognition aligns with the vision of Burkina Faso as a model nation following the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP).
The awards are intended both as encouragement for perseverance and as a means of fostering healthy competition among civil servants.
Emmanuel Sorgho, Chief of Staff to Minister Traoré, explained that the selection process was rigorous, guided by criteria from the Grand Chancellery of the Orders of Burkina Faso, with committees established at the ministerial level to select deserving candidates.
Among the recipients was Suanyaba Rodrigue Oboulbiga, Secretary General of MFPTPS, who expressed joy at being recognized and motivated to strive for even greater accomplishments.
The Minister concluded by paying tribute to the women and men involved in territorial reconquest efforts, receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience.
