Unified Training Approach: Colonel-Major Boubacar Maïga, Director of Military Justice, emphasized the importance of cohesion within the judicial system and the consistent application of criminal procedures.
Adaptation to Contemporary Challenges: Mr. Olivier Tshibola, head of the PROSMED project, stressed the need for the judicial system to evolve alongside modern crimes and comply with international standards.
Strategic Reforms: Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Keeper of the Seals, Mr. Mamoudou Kassogue, highlighted that the reforms aim to provide a credible, coherent, and rights-respecting judicial system capable of addressing organized crime, cybercrime, terrorism, corruption, and offenses against public property.
Participants were encouraged to embrace the innovations, share best practices, and identify potential challenges to ensure harmonized and rigorous application of the laws.
The workshop reinforces Mali’s commitment to modernizing its judicial system through collaboration between the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defense, and technical and financial partners.
