Azawad Revolutionary Council Calls for Mobilization
Timbuktu, January 24, 2026 - The Azawad Revolutionary Council (ARC) held a meeting in Timbuktu to inform the population of the imminent deployment of the Azawad Liberation Front.
The Council called for general mobilization to carry out operations aimed at the “total liberation of Azawad” and the expulsion of Russian mercenaries from the region.
This initiative follows a January 5, 2026, meeting in Tinzawatène, Kidal region, during which the Council’s president, Adghimar Ag Hussein, urged unity and vigilance for a “free and independent Azawad.”
