Ambassador Innocent Muhizi Presents Credentials to Singaporean President
Kigali, November 16, 2025 - Singapore - Innocent Muhizi, newly appointed Rwandan Ambassador to Singapore, presented his credentials to the President of Singapore, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, on November 17, 2025, marking the official start of his diplomatic mission.
During the ceremony, Muhizi outlined his goals to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Rwanda and Singapore, particularly in trade, technology, innovation, and building partnerships that contribute to the development of both countries. “I am ready to increase cooperation in the fields of trade, technology, innovation and building partnerships that will develop both countries,” he said.
Muhizi, 49, brings over 20 years of experience in technology and trade. He holds a Master of Science in Information Technology from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and two additional master’s degrees in Computer Information Systems and Business Management from La Roche University, United States.
He previously served as the Head of the Rwanda Information and Communication Technology Authority (RISA) and as Chief Information Officer and Head of Transactional Banking Services at I&M Bank Rwanda.
Rwanda and Singapore maintain a partnership focused on technology development, innovation, education, capacity building, and green technology, with Singapore playing a key role in supporting Rwanda’s ambition to become a Fintech hub.
