AES and Togo Customs Chiefs Meet in Bamako
Bamako, October 2, 2025 - BAMAKO - The directors general of customs from Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Togo met in Bamako on October 2 to assess progress in interconnecting the customs IT systems of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) and Togo.
The high-level meeting followed technical discussions by customs experts and aimed to strengthen regional trade facilitation and economic integration. Participants reviewed the experts’ work, identified challenges hindering system interconnection, and issued recommendations to accelerate implementation in line with the AES Confederation’s economic and social development goals.
