ADIS 2025: Raïssa Malu Champions Digital Transformation and STEM Education for Youth
Kinshasa, DRC - At the opening roundtable of the African Digital Innovation Summit (ADIS 2025), Minister of State Raïssa Malu highlighted the strides made in the digital transformation of the Congolese education system, calling for an accelerated shift toward technology and innovation.
She praised the implementation of the e-diploma system and stressed the urgent need to guide young Congolese towards STEM fields to nurture a generation capable of driving African innovation. Minister Malu emphasized that “digital technology is an opportunity, not a threat”, warning that without appropriate education, social inequalities could worsen. She called for strengthened digital literacy and practical solutions addressing real needs.
Joined by Ministers Frédéric Kibassa Maliba and Julien Paluku, and moderated by Dominique Migisha, she underscored the role of digital technology in combating fraud, reducing processing times, and improving public services.
On the sidelines, a gala evening on November 24 at the Fleuve Congo Hotel celebrated Raïssa Malu as Digital Africa’s “Digital Champion 2025”, recognizing her reforms, including the integration of AI in national exam marking, the decentralization of digitization, the expansion of distance learning, and the introduction of electronic diplomas.
