Held at the mutual health facility of the National Guard and National Police, the workshop brought together magistrates, Judicial Police Officers (OPJ), and religious leaders, fostering dialogue and knowledge-sharing on best practices in handling Gender-Based Violence (GBV) cases. The sessions were presided over by Mr. Ousmane Beido, Prosecutor of the Republic at the Niamey High Court.
Officials described the workshop as a critical step toward strengthening the judicial system’s responsiveness, ensuring that GBV cases are addressed with both legal rigor and sensitivity to victims’ needs.
