SHABUNDA March 1, 2026 - Violent clashes erupted in the village of Byangama, Bamukuba Sud area, between two factions of the Wazalendo militia, resulting in the deaths of Ufamando, a local Wazalendo leader, and his brother, Constantin. Local sources report that the fighting involved Ufamando’s men attacking the forces led by the self-proclaimed General Muswahili. Their bodies were found in the forest the following day.
