Tanganyika: 1,800 displaced families from North and South Kivu cry out for help in Hongwa

Around 1,800 displaced families from North and South Kivu are living in extremely precarious conditions in the village of Hongwa, about ten kilometres from Kalemie, in Tanganyika province. For several months, these households have lacked shelter, food and access to healthcare, they said on 9 October.

Faced with this alarming humanitarian situation, they are calling on the provincial authorities and humanitarian organisations to take urgent action to help them.
