Suspected ADF Collaborators Arrested and Presented to Provincial Authorities
Isiro, July 2, 2026 - A group of individuals suspected of supporting the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) has been arrested in Suka na Mboka, Watsa territory, and presented to the provincial authorities in Haut-Uele. Major General François Mukalay Ngoy, commander of the Uele operational sector, presented the suspects on Tuesday, June 30, in Isiro before the provincial government. The group included two women, a member of the Pygmy community, individuals of Arab origin, and children. According to military authorities, the suspects are accused of providing logistical assistance and intelligence support to ADF fighters operating in the area. Their arrest follows ongoing security operations aimed at dismantling armed group networks and preventing their expansion in the region. The provincial authorities praised the efforts of the FARDC and the cooperation of local communities in Watsa territory. The governor highlighted the importance of continued collaboration between civilians and security forces in combating armed groups. The provincial executive called on residents to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activities to security services. Authorities stressed that community cooperation remains essential for preventing attacks and enabling rapid responses to security threats. Major General François Mukalay Ngoy also expressed appreciation for the support provided by national and provincial authorities, while encouraging continued collaboration with the population to strengthen operations against armed groups in Haut-Uele.
